EDI strives to advance diversity and inclusion at the National Institutes of Health, and ensure that the civil rights of all employees are protected. These portfolios were created to place special emphasis on positive, equitable, and inclusive employment experiences for federally identified minorities.
Office of the Director
The Office of the Director is responsible for the management and direction of EDI and develops and drives the strategic vision and direction of the organization.
Data Analytics and Customer Outreach Division
Data Analytics and Customer Outreach division provides data analysis services and organizes customer service activities such as trainings.
Diversity and Inclusion Division
Diversity and Inclusion division develops strategies and programs that focus on an IC’s overall DEIA practices, programs, advancements, and retention.
Guidance, Education, and Marketing Division
Guidance, Education and Marketing division promotes a culture of inclusivity at NIH by developing and delivering training programs; providing guidance and resources on DEIA issues; and raising awareness about the importance of these issues through marketing and outreach efforts.
Resolution and Equity Division
Resolution and Equity investigates and resolves EEO complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other forms of inequality that are brought forward by NIH employees or applicants. The Resolution and Equity division provides training, guidance, and support on compliance-DEIA related issues.
