Kathryn Brown is a Supervisory Administrative Judge with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Washington Field Office (WFO), and Coordinator of the WFO Initiative for the Settlement of EEO Complaints (WISE), the nationally recognized settlement program she created to resolve cases pending before administrative judges.

During this session, Judge Brown will discuss the importance of coming to the mediation table in good faith with a willingness to negotiate, the importance of reaching resolution, and what can happen if resolution is not reached. Judge Brown will also explore critical “touchpoints” in the ADR process that can be refined to improve the outcome.

Additionally, the session will end with an interactive Q&A session so attendees can get the judge’s expert insights on general concerns and issues, challenges, or barriers that you may face prior to and during the mediation process.
