The Power of Alternative Dispute Resolution: Resolutions and Equity Awareness

The Power of EEOs Alternative Dispute Resolution. Resolutions and Equity Awareness Month

A Note From our Director.

Greetings,

This month, we bring you “The Power of EEO’S Alternative Dispute Resolution.” The information we share this month centers on the importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)/Mediation within the EEO process, both informal and formal.

There are many benefits of mediation for both employees and management officials within the EEO lifecycle such as providing efficient and cost-effective ways to resolve complaints by a trained mediator. Follow us this month as we highlight what ADR/mediation is, the benefits of utilizing ADR, and how the EEO ADR/Mediation program differs from NIH CIVIL/Ombudsmen/Employee Assistance Program.

EDI’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program goal is that the NIH workforce can resolve their allegations of discrimination neutrally and fairly with a program built on trust. Alternative Dispute Resolution is implemented to ensure customers can have their internal and external conflicts solved at the lowest level within any part of the EEO process.
