This discussion will focus on understanding the different types of protected activities, beyond just filing an EEO complaint, such as requesting reasonable accommodation, serving as a witness for someone else’s EEO complaint, and opposing discrimination in the workplace; considering what constitutes a claim of retaliation, which is often much subtler than what constitutes a claim of discrimination and coming away with an understanding of employee rights with regards to participating in protected EEO activity.
