Third Annual Cultivating Inclusion: Honoring NIH Champions and Allies of Disability Awards
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is pleased to celebrate October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) as we remain deeply committed to the principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in our research and workplace.
This year marks the third annual awards ceremony to showcase the theme of Accessibility Matters: Now and Always. This campaign solidifies our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility for all.
NDEAM celebrates America's workers with disabilities both past and present and emphasizes the importance of maintaining inclusive policies and practices to ensure that all Americans who want to work can access support and services to help them succeed. With continued advances in such support, including accessible technology, it is easier than ever before for employers to hire People with Disabilities.
To further celebrate NDEAM at the NIH, EDI hopes to express deep appreciation for our disability champions and allies by recognizing them for their work in removing workplace barriers. Join us as we honor those who demonstrate unconditional commitment, compassion, and understanding toward the Disability Community, as well as those who bring more of themselves to the workplace to make it more inclusive.
