2024 Final Rule to Update Older Americans Act Regulations. In 2024, a final rule was introduced to update the regulations for implementing the Older Americans Act (OAA) programs. The Administration for Community Living released the rule on February 6, 2024. The new regulation will come into effect on March 15, 2024. However, regulated entities have until October 1, 2025, to comply with the new regulation.

29 USC §621 - Age Discrimination in Employment. This chapter aims to prevent age discrimination in employment and promote equal opportunities for individuals based on their abilities rather than their age. It also seeks to find solutions to age-related employment challenges. In effect on February 20, 2024.
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA) prohibits employment age discrimination for person 40 and older. Amended with the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA) of 1990 https://www.eeoc.gov/history/older-workers-benefit-protection-act-1990 clarified the protections given to older individuals regarding benefits plans and other purposes.
The Older American Act (AOA) of 1965 Public Law 89-73 was reauthorized on Apr. 19, 2016, through Public Law 114-144 , and amended in 2020 through Public Law 116-131—Mar 25, 2020. As a results of the Older Americans Act, the Federal agency American Aging on (AOA) was created under the Older American of 1965 and is responsible for concerns and interests of older people and their caregivers.
